Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Adult Day Programs in All Five Boroughs. Full-time schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am–3:30pm (35 hours/week) with pay rate of $18 per hour and a generous benefits package including free medical insurance.

Part-time schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am–2:30pm (30 hours/week) at $20 per hour; benefits are not included. Responsibilities include supporting individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed

Qualifications

• Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual.
• Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Job Description

Full-time Positions

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am -3:30pm (35 hours per week).
