Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Bayshore, NY seeks a Direct Store Delivery Warehouse Lead to support the sales management team and ensure the DSD Distribution Center runs efficiently. The Lead will oversee daily DC operations, assign tasks, train staff, manage inventory, and ensure safe, accurate loading, unloading and product rotation.

Experience in food distribution and D365 is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food-related industry.
• Experience leading and directing others.
• Must be able to operate a route sales vehicle and forklift when required.
• Must have valid driver's license and DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC.
• Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring work is done accurately and timely.
• Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory; Receives, stores, loads, and ensures products are accounted for and in good condition.
• Unloads trailers and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Checks product picked and loaded by Operators and Distributors; signs load tickets.
• Uses handheld computer to balance daily inventory and orders.
• Accepts and checks returns to stock, stale and damaged products.
• Keeps warehouse organized; maintains cleanliness and rotation.
• Covers open routes as directed; delivers product and merchandises accounts as needed.
• Leads and assists with month-end inventory counts; flags discrepancies to Head of DSD Ops.
