Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator in San Jose, CA to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for drywall, metal framing, and related trades on commercial and residential projects.

You will analyze vendor pricing, identify scope gaps, and assemble bid proposals while coordinating with project teams to win work. 5+ years of estimating experience and proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, WinBid, Plexxis, and Excel are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in drywall and metal framing.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, WinBid, Plexxis) and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal studs, taping, and accessories.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit and analyze vendor and supplier pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risks within bid documents.
• Prepare bid proposals, clarifications, and value engineering options.
