Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions or make suggestions about items.
Offer samples to help customers discover new products they inquire about.
Inform customers of specials and promotions.
Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want and need.
Monitor product dates and take appropriate action.
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
