Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and respond to questions about products
• Know products in the department and make suggestions
• Suggest grocery items to customers and inform about specials
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Stock and label department merchandise and provide fresh products
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures
• Enforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
• Notify management of accidents and report safety issues
