Responsibilities include answering questions, recommending products, reporting discrepancies, and helping ensure promotions are communicated and executed accurately. A collaborative, customer-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with basic arithmetic and POS transactions.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to inquiries with recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Review dates and take appropriate actions on products.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and any safety risk or illegal activity.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and handle conflicts constructively.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
