Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation is seeking a Drop Mill Operator in Cambridge, OH. The role focuses on cooling, mixing, and processing compounds through the mill to meet exact specifications.

The successful candidate will maintain quality control, identify process issues, and ensure equipment is cleaned between batches. Overtime and weekend work may be required; first shift is 6:45am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Willing to work overtime including weekends.
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the drop mill to cool, mix, and process compounds per specifications.
• Monitor production output to maintain quality control.
• Identify issues with product or process and address them.
• Ensure belts, pans, and knives are cleaned between batches.
• Operate forklift for material handling.

What Success Looks Like:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Necessity for attention to detail.
• The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
• Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
• Correctly identifying the correct batch is being milled.
• Ensure belts, pans, and knives are always cleaned between compounds.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
• Operating a forklift for various functions.

Your Credentials:

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School or GED preferred
• Willing to work overtime including weekends
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour

1st Shift 6:45am-3:00pm
