Quanex is seeking a Drop Mill Operator to efficiently process compounds, monitor outputs, and uphold safety guidelines on the 1st shift (6:45am-3:00pm) in Cambridge, OH.

Responsibilities

• Operate the drop mill and process compounds within specifications.
• Monitor production output and maintain quality control.
• Identify issues with the product or process and report them.
• Ensure belts, pans, and knives are cleaned between compounds.
• Follow safety procedures and help update work instructions.
• Operate a forklift for internal material handling.

What Success Looks Like:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Necessity for attention to detail.
• The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
• Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
• Correctly identifying the correct batch is being milled.
• Ensure belts, pans, and knives are always cleaned between compounds.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
• Operating a forklift for various functions.

Your Credentials:

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School or GED preferred
• Willing to work overtime including weekends
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour

1st Shift 6:45am-3:00pm
