Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation in Cambridge, OH is seeking a Minors Operator to support the mixer line by following scheduled recipes and accurately weighing ingredients for each batch.

You will transfer materials from bulk bags to smaller bags, manage weights around 30-50 lbs, operate the mixer safely, and coordinate with staff to maintain quality and inventory control. The role offers first shift hours and $18 per hour with bonus potential and PTO.

Follow scheduled recipes and supply ingredients for each recipe to the Mixer Operator. The Bulk Minor’s operator must weigh all ingredients accurately and consistently.

What Success Looks Like:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Necessity for attention to detail.
• The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
• Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
• Transfer material from bulk bags or “supersacks” to smaller paper or poly bags to a more precise weight that can be handled efficiently at the mixer
• Typically target weights of 30-50lbs.
• Communicate with additional staff members
• Responsible for weighing of materials
• Proper inventory control of raw materials and finished products
• Properly label skids, boxes and fill out any applicable paperwork
• Perform monthly inventory count
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures
• Operating a forklift for various functions.

Your Credentials:

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School or GED preferred
• Willing to work overtime including weekends
• Knowledge of general computer skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour

1st Shift- 6:45am-3:00pm
