Job summary

EOTECH Autonomy is seeking an Integration Specialist in Troy, MI to integrate new hardware, software, and payloads onto a small unmanned aircraft platform. This hands-on role covers lab and flight testing, plus demonstration flights at customer and government events.

The ideal candidate will perform bench setup, wiring, firmware configuration, and parameter tuning, while documenting results and reporting to the Technical Director. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements documented in the posting: FPV multirotor operation, UAS hardware familiarity, soldering and wiring skills, flight controller configuration, ability to follow test plans and document results.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new hardware, software, and payloads onto the drone platform in lab and flight tests.
• Perform bench setup, wiring, firmware configuration, and parameter tuning for each integration.
• Plan and execute ground and flight tests to verify integrations.
• Record test notes and report findings to the Technical Director.
• Troubleshoot failures and propose corrective actions.
• Fly FPV demonstrations at customer sites and events; manage demonstration gear.
• Maintain flight logs and test/demonstration inventories.
• Follow safety rules and flight operations procedures.
• Support production and engineering with builds, repairs, and tuning when feasible.
