Job summary

Opterra Solutions, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to join our field team. You will operate the AE Vision J-100 spray platform to apply herbicides across multiple sites while traveling regionally and ensuring safety and compliance.

This role requires strong drone piloting skills, knowledge of drone maintenance, and the ability to work outdoors on a flexible schedule. A Part 107 license, valid driver's license, and reliable travel are essential for success in

Qualifications

• Part 107A license required.
• Proven drone flying experience required.
• Understanding of drone systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe UAV operation.
• Experience in herbicide applications, vegetation management, or related fields.
• Ability to travel regionally for extended or multi-day operations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety focus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial spray drones safely and efficiently.
• Plan and execute flight missions.
• Mix and apply herbicides in accordance with label requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections.
• Maintain flight, maintenance, and application records.
• Follow FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow DOT and FAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs.
