Job summary

Opterra Solutions is seeking a Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to operate our AE Vision J100 spray platform and apply herbicides across multiple states. This role involves field operations, drone maintenance, and travel between sites with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Part 107 license, proven drone flight experience, and knowledge of herbicide applications. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for multi-day operations are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to operate drones for commercial use (Part 107A) and proven flight experience.
• Experience applying herbicides or working in vegetation management or agriculture.
• Able to travel regionally for multi-day operations and maintain safety standards.
• Strong work ethic with reliable, safety-focused attitude; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate AE Vision J100 spray platform to apply herbicides safely.
• Plan and execute flight missions across multiple states and sites.
• Mix and apply herbicides following label requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and maintain flight and application records.
• Comply with FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations.
• Work independently and in teams; assist with DOT and FAA rules as needed.
• Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs.
