Job summary
Opterra Solutions is a forward-thinking environmental and vegetation management company seeking a reliable Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to join our team. You will operate the AE Vision J-100 spray platform to apply herbicides across diverse environments, travelling regularly to support projects throughout the region.
This role emphasizes safe drone operation, field work, drone maintenance, and strict adherence to label instructions and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Part 107A license
- Proven drone flying experience
- Understanding of drone systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe UAV operation
- Experience in herbicide applications, agriculture, vegetation management, or related fields
- Ability to travel regionally for extended or multi-day operations
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial spray drones safely and efficiently
- Plan and execute flight missions
- Mix and apply herbicides in accordance with label requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections
- Maintain flight, maintenance, and application records
- Follow all FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Follow DOT and FAA rules and regulations
- Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs
