Job summary

Opterra Solutions is seeking a Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to operate the AE Vision J100 drone platform across multiple states, performing herbicide applications in diverse environments. The role requires travel, field operations, drone maintenance, and strict safety adherence.

You will plan flights, mix and apply products per label, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain detailed records while complying with FAA/EPA and company policies. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Part 107 drone license.
• Demonstrated drone flying experience in diverse environments.
• Knowledge of drone systems, maintenance, and safe UAV operation.
• Experience in herbicide applications or vegetation management.
• Willingness to travel regionally for multi-day operations.
• Strong safety focus and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial spray drones safely and efficiently.
• Plan and execute flight missions.
• Mix and apply herbicides according to label requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain records of flight, maintenance, and application.
• Follow all FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow DOT and FAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs.
