Job summary

Opterra Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Drone Herbicide Applicator to operate our AE Vision J‑100 spray platform and apply herbicides across Georgia and neighboring states. This role involves regular travel, field operations, drone maintenance, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

You should have a Part 107A license, proven drone flying experience, and knowledge of herbicide applications. Travel regionally for multi‑day deployments and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Part 107A License
• Proven drone flying experience
• Understanding of drone systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe UAV operation
• Experience in herbicide applications, agriculture, vegetation management, or related fields
• Ability to travel regionally for extended or multi‑day operations
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
• Valid drivers license

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial spray drones safely and efficiently
• Plan and execute flight missions
• Mix and apply herbicides in accordance with label requirements
• Troubleshoot and repair drone, battery, charger, and spray system issues
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative inspections
• Maintain flight, maintenance, and application records
• Follow all FAA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Follow DOT and FAA rules and regulations
• Ability to team-lift up to 120 lbs
