Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Summer 2027 intern for the Droid Perception team in our South San Francisco office. You will work on ML model experimentation and integration to advance onboard and offboard perception systems for autonomous drones.

This is a full-time, in-person internship with competitive hourly pay and relocation/housing support where applicable. You will explore current research, apply it to real-world perception challenges, and collaborate with engineering and hardware teams to deliver

Qualifications

Must have completed the second year of undergraduate studies; graduate students eligible.
Strong foundation in 3D computer vision and camera models.
Experience with modern DL frameworks and producing maintainable code.

Responsibilities

Ideate, experiment and iterate on learning-based perception solutions.
Collaborate with team members to derive practical solutions from first principles.
Leverage large datasets to train and evaluate models for onboard/offboard perception.
Ship production code to train, validate and integrate models into the perception system.
Share findings to foster knowledge exchange across teams.
