Zipline is seeking a senior machine learning and perception engineer to help define the state of the art in aircraft and obstacle detection for autonomous delivery drones. You will shape reliable perception systems, work across systems, and push the boundaries of safety and autonomy.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional experience crafting and deploying perception systems.
• Expertise in state-of-the-art deep learning for object detection and tracking.
• Deep knowledge of geometric computer vision techniques for 3D estimation.

Responsabilidades

• Advance perception by designing and deploying algorithms for detection, localization and tracking of aircraft and obstacles.
• Develop scalable model training pipelines and evaluation frameworks for real-world edge cases.
• Collaborate with flight test and validation teams on end-to-end test plans.
• Build tools for debugging, visualization, and rapid triage of perception issues in live deployments.
• Iterate ML models and tracking algorithms using simulation and real-world feedback.
• Contribute to Zipline’s detect-and-avoid architecture and safety standards.
