Job summary

Wing is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join the Perception team in Palo Alto, CA. You will help advance autonomous drone delivery by developing perception models that enable safe navigation and robust operation using large-scale flight data.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• Strong internship or project-based engineering experience.
• Solid grounding in physics and computer vision fundamentals.
• Experience with self-supervised Vision Transformer models and related domains.
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Help build unified and/or generalized Perception models for Wing aircraft systems to handle edge cases in real-world operations.
• Analyze real-world data to improve Perception pipelines with state-of-the-art models.
• Leverage large-scale data from a fleet of robots to train ML models that solve real problems.
• Contribute to scaling Wing operations through ML solutions.
• Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team.
