Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Control Systems Engineering Specialist to join the Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions organization. This role focuses on NTI software development, validation planning and execution, and technology transformation projects for robust drivetrain controls.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver software-enabled capabilities across machines with powershift transmissions and torque converters, ensuring quality and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
• Strong background in drivetrain controls and embedded software.
• Experience with NTI processes and software-enabled product capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through validation and development.
• Knowledge of systems engineering for mechatronic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute New Technology software development for drivetrain applications.
• Develop and integrate drivetrain control solutions for transmissions and actuators.
• Own validation planning and execution with test strategies and data review.
• Execute technology transformation projects for software workflows and development practices.
• Apply systems engineering to balance performance, durability, and cost.
• Coordinate with global teams for design reviews, software releases, and validation.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and validation teams for integration.
• Drive problem solving through data analysis and root-cause investigation.
