Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Control Systems Engineer for the Drivetrain Controls System Simulation and Validation organization to deliver NPI drivetrain control software for powershift transmissions and torque converters.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate technical issues and status clearly.
Experience with embedded controls development and validation.

Responsibilities

Execute NTI software development for drivetrain controls and validation.
Develop and integrate drivetrain control solutions for transmissions and actuators.
Plan and execute validation strategies, test plans, and data review.
Support technology transformation projects to improve processes.
Apply systems engineering to balance performance, durability, and cost.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design reviews and software releases.
Work with mechanical, electrical, and validation teams to ensure system integration.
Troubleshoot issues via data analysis and root-cause investigation.
Follow standard work and continuous improvement in drivetrain mechatronics.
