Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a CDL A Driver in Fort Worth, TX, for a first-shift role. You will securely load/unload, deliver freight, and manage POD paperwork while maintaining DOT compliance and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 12 months verifiable tractor trailer experience in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads (no tarping, use strapping).
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns as needed.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers and address issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. No tarping - only strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.

What You’ll Need to Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

The fixed rate is XXXX per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.
