BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a CDL A Driver to join our team. The role focuses on safe, on-time deliveries with no tarping, secure loads, and customer interaction. You will operate flatbed and curtain side trailers, keep accurate logs, and perform daily safety checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and safe driving record.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in past 3 years.
• Ability to secure loads and operate in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads with straps; no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers and address issues.
• Perform daily safety checklist and required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. No tarping – only strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.

What You’ll Need to Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 21 years of age.

The fixed rate is XXXX per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.
