Job summary

Responsibilities include hands-on and classroom training, potential route participation, and ensuring customer service excellence. The trainer will work with both new hires and seasoned drivers to prepare them for a professional driving career.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Experience delivering hands-on training to drivers.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Familiar with fleet management software (PeopleNet) and related tools.
• Possesses valid CDL A and meets state licensing requirements.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy freight as needed.

Responsibilities

• Train delivery drivers on job duties using company guides and processes.
• Observe work methods and provide verbal and written feedback for development.
• May run routes as business needs require.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Provide customer service oriented training and support to trainees and staff.
• Collaborate with new hires and experienced drivers in classroom or field settings.
• Perform route delivery duties following guidelines and safety practices.
