McLane Company, Inc. seeks a Driver Trainee to learn essential driving and distribution tasks, gaining exposure to warehouse operations as part of the developmental program. You will train toward becoming a licensed McLane Driver, performing secure loading, routing, and on-time deliveries to customer locations.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adaptability in a fast-paced logistics environment, with comprehensive day‑one benefits and a clear path to CDL certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products per McLane customers.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with local, state, federal regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Operate DDH and document delivery receipts and product temps.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and driving maneuvers.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading trailer and delivering products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
