McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee in Austell, GA.

The role supports learning essential driver functions, including distribution to customer locations, while exposing trainees to warehouse and other operations as part of the developmental path to becoming a McLane Driver. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document deliveries and product temperatures with DDH.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and driving skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
