Qualifications

• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet eligibility requirements in the McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload and deliver products as ordered by McLane customers.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Operate Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) and document delivery receipts and product temperatures.
• Ride and train with Driver Trainer to destinations and learn driving regulations and skills.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
