MTM Transit, in partnership with the City of Tracy, is hiring Full Time CDL Drivers in Tracy, California. Training classes start every few weeks, offering a direct path into a rewarding career with a local employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 21+ years old
• Valid California Class B CDL with air brake & passenger endorsements
• Max 6 points on driving record in 4 years
• No misdemeanor convictions
• No DWI/DUI convictions
• No failure to appear charges
• DOT physical & pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Background & MVR checks
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Resume with 10+ years of work history

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving
• Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading
• Assist with mobility devices as required for safety
• Ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs
• Show sensitivity to needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete paperwork as required
• Use tablets or electronic devices as required

What You’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid California Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements
• No more than 6 points on driving record within the last 4 years
• No misdemeanor convictions
• No DWI/DUI convictions
• No failure to appear charges
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record check
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice
• Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliabletransportation
• Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of thecustomer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired
• Complete paperwork asrequired
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
