Job summary

MTM Transit in Eugene, Oregon is hiring Full Time CDL Drivers to join our team for safe, reliable passenger transportation. Training classes start every other week, with a strong emphasis on safety, service, and community impact.

You must have a valid Oregon CDL with passenger endorsement or be able to obtain within 3 months, and pass background, FBI fingerprinting, and DOT screenings. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, paid training, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must possess a valid Oregon Class C CDL with passenger endorsement or obtain within 3 months.
• Valid U.S. driver's license for the past 5 years.
• No DUI or DWI convictions.
• No moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must pass background checks and DOT screenings.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must provide a resume with 10 years of work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving.
• Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading and unloading.
• Assist with mobility devices and securement for safety.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required documentation.
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required.

MTM Transit, in partnership with RideSource, is looking for Full Time, CDL Drivers to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. We currently have training classes that start every other week!

Location: 240 Garfield Street in Eugene, OR

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Must possess a valid Oregon Class C CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain within 3 months of start

• Valid U.S. Driver's License for the past 5 years

• No DUI or DWI convictions

• No moving violations or at fault accidents in the last 3 years

• Must pass criminal background check investigation, National FBI fingerprinting check & Motor Vehicle record check

• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening

• Valid authorization to work in the United States

• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice

• Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality

• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions

• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules

• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations

• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliabletransportation

• Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills

• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders

• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle

• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols

• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of thecustomer

• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals withdisabilities

• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired

• Complete paperwork asrequired

• Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
