Job summary

The Oregon Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Services Representative to assist the public with driver licenses, vehicle registrations and permits at the DMV. You will deliver courteous service and verify information in accordance with laws and agency policies.

Responsibilities include administering vision and knowledge tests, processing payments, and guiding customers through complex regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of public contact experience involving in-person or phone information about services or explaining procedures.
• Experience using computers to retrieve/input data.
• Three months experience collecting money and making change.

Responsibilities

• Help the public register vehicles and apply for permits.
• Provide exceptional customer service while following privacy laws.
• Administer knowledge and vision tests for drivers and explain results.
