Job summary

The Office of the Illinois Secretary of State in Cairo, IL is seeking a Drivers Facility Manager I to lead a Driver Services field facility. You will supervise staff, oversee cash handling, administer road and written examinations, and ensure accurate processing of driver licenses, titles, and registrations.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma and three years of general work experience, preferably including two years in a driver’s facility.
Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Ability to plan, assign, supervise and evaluate staff.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
Ability to lift/carry 0-25 lbs and travel to other facilities.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, coordinate and evaluate staff at the Driver Services facility.
Manage cash handling, accounting, auditing and deposits.
Administer road and written examinations for driver’s licenses.
Process motor vehicle title and registration applications.
Prepare and submit reports on facility operations.
Maintain the facility’s appearance and cleanliness.
