Job summary

Assist Ambulance seeks an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join our team in New York. The role involves conducting driver evaluations and leading training sessions for employment candidates, new hires, and annual refreshers. You will review ambulette driving for infractions and accidents and coach drivers and crewmembers, completing all required documentation. Must be available Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and hold a NY driver license.

Qualifications

• Must have experience training drivers and coaching on driving and passenger infractions.
• Proven ability to document training activities and results.
• Strong report-writing and email communication skills.
• EMT certification in NY state preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driver evaluations as needed.
• Lead training classes for employment candidates, new hires and annual refreshers.
• Review ambulette driving for infractions and accidents.
• Provide coaching and counseling to drivers and crewmembers and complete all necessary paperwork.

Assist Ambulance is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join our team!

Job Duties:

• Conducting driver evaluations as needed


• Conducting training class with candidates for employment, new hires and annually, and complete all associated documentation


• Reviewing ambulette driving for infractions and accidents


• Conducting coaching and counseling sessions withdriversand crewmembers on infractions and accidents, and completing all necessary paperwork


• Duties are subject to change and are not limited to the ones mentioned on this list

Requirements:

• Must be available Mon-Fri 9a-5p


• Must have a validdriver's license from New York, D-class or above, with an acceptable driving abstract/record


• Must have experience trainingdrivers, commercial preferred, but not required


• Must have experience professionally coaching and counselingdriverson driving/passenger infractions and accidents


• Must have comfortability using digital data systems for human resource management and automatic vehicle tracking, such as Lytx, Samsara or Motiv


• Must have comfortability writing reports and corresponding via email


• Ideal candidate has a valid EMT certificate in New York State
