Job summary

Assist Ambulance is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to join our team in New York. The role involves conducting driver evaluations, delivering training for employment and ongoing development, and documenting all activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience training drivers (commercial preferred), coaching drivers on infractions and accidents, and comfort with digital data systems and report writing. EMT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in driver safety training or instruction.
• Ability to document training activities and maintain records.
• Familiarity with digital data systems used for HRM or fleet tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday 9a–5p.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing ambulette driving for infractions and accidents
• Conducting coaching and counseling sessions with driversand crewmembers on infractions and accidents, and completing all necessary paperwork
• Duties are subject to change and are not limited to the ones mentioned on this list

Requirements:

• Must be available Mon-Fri 9a-5p
• Must have a validdriver's license from New York, D-class or above, with an acceptable driving abstract/record
• Must have experience trainingdrivers, commercial preferred, but not required
• Must have experience professionally coaching and counselingdriverson driving/passenger infractions and accidents
• Must have comfortability using digital data systems for human resource management and automatic vehicle tracking, such as Lytx, Samsara or Motiv
• Must have comfortability writing reports and corresponding via email
• Ideal candidate has a valid EMT certificate in New York State
