Job summary

J.P. Mascaro & Sons, Wyoming Valley Division in Nanticoke, PA, seeks reliable Sanitation Workers/Driver's Helpers to support curbside waste collection. You will ride on the back of a trash truck, assist the driver, and perform safety-focused tasks in a physically demanding outdoor role.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Training provided; competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Valid, active driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Show up on time with proper PPE.
• Partner with the driver to safely navigate the truck and backing.
• Use hand signals to communicate when backing and stay in the driver’s vision.
• Collect curbside waste and recycling and place containers back in their location.
• Ensure spilled debris is cleaned up and customer interactions are polite and professional.
• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable per company standards.
