Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Cordele, GA seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and coordinate daily deliveries.

You will use routing systems and dispatch procedures to ensure safe, on-time service and compliance with DOT rules, while collaborating with other distribution center departments. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred) and at least 1 year of transportation management in food distribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
• Be knowledgeable about DOT regulations.
• AS/400 experience preferred.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule.
• Basic competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries using routing and dispatch knowledge.
• Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements for compliance.
• Coordinate with distribution center departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Additional duties and special projects may be assigned.
