Job summary

Quality Carriers, Inc. is seeking a Driver Operations Specialist in Houston, TX to manage a group of up to 40 drivers in a 24/7 operation. This role requires on-call availability and a focus on safety, scheduling, and driver performance.

You will coordinate dispatches, monitor hours of service, and work with HR to address disciplinary matters. Strong computer skills and knowledge of DOT/CSA regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years truck transportation industry experience or a 4-year degree preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; safety-focused.
• Proficient with computer systems and industry software (TMW, ISAAC, Totalmail).

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with up to 40 drivers, including attendance and time off.
• Monitor drivers' hours of service and regulatory compliance.
• Coach drivers on safety and performance to maximize bonuses.
• Dispatch drivers using QC tools and ensure on-time service ≥95%.
• Coordinate with Scheduling and Equipment Planning to optimize utilization.
• Develop disciplinary actions with HR as needed.
• Maintain driver calendars and record home-time requests.
• Lead safety initiatives and driver performance reviews quarterly.
