Job summary

Paper Transport is seeking a local operations manager to lead a diverse group of drivers and manage customer relationships. You will monitor safe, effective, and value-added support for our customers, drivers, and onsite team in Houston.

Responsibilities include daily collaboration with customers, safety coaching, load plan adjustments, and clear communication with drivers. A focus on FMCSA hours of service, feedback to the operations team, and ongoing development is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years transportation/leadership experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers daily to address issues and ensure overall success.
• Oversee safety for drivers and onsite team; address issues with warnings, probation, or termination as needed.
• Adjust dispatched loads based on finalized customer load plan.
• Communicate with drivers via PS Tablet and phone.
• Build strong relationships among coordinators, drivers and management.
