Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor to assist in terminal operations. The role includes supervising drivers, conducting interviews, scheduling, and coordinating with dispatch to resolve delivery issues and staffing needs.

Prerequisites include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience in transportation, plus strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise performance of drivers.
• Conduct interviews and hire drivers.
• Work closely with dispatchers on troubleshooting items such as delivery issues, driver training program, staffing levels, customer requests/complaints, etc.
• Approve/Deny driver PTO requests, manage annual vacation schedule, create weekly driver schedule for dispatch.
• Assist in the forecasting of terminal performance and analyze terminal financial information.
• Ensure maximum asset utilization.
