Day & Ross Inc. is seeking a Driver Manager to lead a fleet of drivers, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries and high-quality driver management.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, effective coaching, and adherence to DOT regulations, with responsibilities spanning load planning, routing, and performance documentation. The position requires supervising frontline staff, possibly in a remote setting, and coordinating weekend dispatch coverage while maintaining accurate records in the TMS/ELD

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED; logistics experience preferred.
Related post-secondary coursework is a plus but not required.
Equivalent combinations of education/training/experience will be considered.
Knowledge of transportation operations and DOT rules is required.
Experience leading frontline teams and supervisors, preferably remotely.
Proficiency with MS Office; SAP knowledge a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication; customer service focus.

Responsibilities

Ensure driver success through relationship building and effective communication.
Plan and provide complete load information including routing.
Coach drivers on time management and HOS compliance.
Maintain accurate records in the TMS system for drivers and trips.
Monitor ELD and driver communications; coordinate weekend dispatch as needed.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Develop and manage operational budgets with leadership input.
