Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Driver Licensing Examiner I to administer driving skills examinations for applicants at multiple locations. Training is provided with a multi-week program; travel to satellite offices is possible, and a trainee option exists for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Education and experience must be in instruction, training, customer service, driving work or a related field.
• License to drive a vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers driving skills examinations for applicants to ensure qualified licensing.
• Records examination results and prepares reports of licensing activities.
• Ensures applicants pass knowledge and vision exams before driving skills testing.
• Assists customers at the counter and over the phone regarding licensing laws and procedures.
• Operates DMV computer hardware/software and captures signatures/images for applicant processing.
