Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Driver Licensing Examiner I in Dover to administer driving skills examinations for applicants seeking operator and motorcycle licenses. This role includes a trainee pay rate during onboarding, with opportunities for advancement and mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
• Travel throughout the state to various satellite offices and testing locations.

Responsibilities

• Administers driving skills examinations to applicants to ensure qualified individuals receive driver licenses.
• Qualifies or disqualifies applicants based on driving skills examinations.
• Records examination results and submits reports of driver licensing activities.
• Ensures applicants have completed required knowledge and vision tests before examinations.
• Assists customers and counter personnel with questions about licensing laws, forms and procedures.
