Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Driver Licensing, invites applications for the Driver Licensing Examiner I in Keene. The role administers tests and driving skills examinations to ensure only qualified applicants receive NH driver licenses and IDs.

Training and background checks are part of the onboarding process. The position requires at least 21, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Willing to travel statewide and work at satellite offices.

Responsibilities

• Administers a variety of tests and driving skills examinations to applicants to ensure qualified licensing.
• Reviews applicant information for consistency with motor vehicle laws and rules.
• Administers driving knowledge and vision examinations as required.
• Provides customer service and assists counter personnel at the DMV.
• Maintains office and assists with inventory of applications and forms.
