Colorado Department of Revenue in Aurora seeks a Driver License Technician Trainee to learn compliance with statutes and department policies while issuing Colorado documents to applicants.

You will train in Driver License Fundamentals, support the Aurora Driver License Office, and may advance after certification. Residency in Colorado and a valid Colorado driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• College coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, Management, Information Technology may substitute for experience.
• Document experience in detail in your application.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers as the primary point of contact.
• Communicate with customers about needs and eligibility.
• Assess documents for source authenticity and eligibility.
• Process driver license, ID documents and hearing requests.
• Administer tests and grade examinations for licenses.
• Qualify applicants for driver's license and Colorado ID card.
• Balance cash and account for money received for issued documents.
