Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hiring a Driver License Examiner Assistant to support driver licensing operations. You will greet customers, review IDs, and guide applicants through required forms while assisting with knowledge tests and basic vision screenings.

You will also enter applicant data, explain licensing requirements, verify documentation for REAL ID, and maintain an orderly work area in a busy Driver License Center. This is a full-time, in-person role with no telework.

Qualifications

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Responsibilities

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, review identification, and guide applicants through required forms.
• Test Administration: Give standardized knowledge tests and conduct basic vision screenings.
• Data Entry: Enter applicant information and test results into licensing software systems.
• Service Guidance: Explain licensing requirements and answer questions about available services.
• Documentation Review: Verify documents for REAL ID and other license or identification needs.
• Work Area Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly and accessible workstation.
