Southland Industries in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a safety-minded Delivery Driver responsible for dropping off and picking up materials from vendors and construction sites. You will drive company trucks, secure loads, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to job sites.

The role requires a valid Class A license, 2+ years of experience, and ability to operate a forklift and warehouse equipment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and an employee-owners culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years delivery/logistics experience preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL license required.
• Ability to operate forklift and other loading equipment.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for safely and efficiently dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites.

• Drives delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations. Properly secures and straps down materials for safe delivery.
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, stages, transports tools, supplies and equipment by hand or using dolly and/or forklift.
• Distributes received packages to designated office personnel as directed.
• Wash and clean department vehicles.
• Sweeps, cleans, hauls trash and maintains work area in clean and organized fashion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience is preferable
• Valid Class A Driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and equipment, such as forklift
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical projects and related tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Customer-service orientation
• Attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse and at the construction site
