Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a reliable delivery driver/material handler to safely deliver materials to construction sites and company locations. You will load, unload, and secure loads, operate a forklift, and assist with warehouse and field tasks while keeping vehicles clean and organized.

The role requires solid communication, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work efficiently at both warehouse and job sites. 100% on-site position with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience preferable.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicle and forklift.
• Familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations, securing loads safely.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and transport tools, supplies, and equipment by hand or using dolly or forklift.
• Distribute received packages to designated office personnel as directed.
• Wash and clean department vehicles; maintain a clean work area.
• Sweep and haul trash to keep work areas organized.

Position Summary

Responsible for safely and efficiently dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites.

Position Details

• Drives delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations. Properly secures and straps down materials for safe delivery.
• Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, stages, transports tools, supplies and equipment by hand or using dolly and/or forklift.
• Distributes received packages to designated office personnel as directed.
• Wash and clean department vehicles.
• Sweeps, cleans, hauls trash and maintains work area in clean and organized fashion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience is preferable
• Valid Class A Driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and equipment, such as forklift
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical projects and related tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Customer-service orientation
• Attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse and at the construction site
