Job summary

Job description

DESCRIPTION OF MAIN JOB DUTIES

• The Driver Helper will assist the driver in catering aircraft, transporting meals/beverage/equipment to assigned flights, guide drivers on and off aircraft and lowering and raising stabilizers. They will help provide excellent customer airline service. Other assignments as deemed necessary

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and/or cold environment
• Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for entire work shift
• Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes
• Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge
• Must follow all Ramp, and AOA, Safety and Security Rules and Regulations
• Must have the ability to push up to 75lbs with the use of rolling carts and lift up to 30lbs
• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
• Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications
• Must have a valid driver license with a safe driving record
• Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program
• Must possess interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with a professional appearance and attitude
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be able to apply safety standards
• Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment
• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays which is subject to change due to shift bidding
• Must have an excellent disciplinary record
• Must have at least 6 months of Company seniority (Internal Applicants)
