Job summary

Tier1usa is seeking a Customer Service Airline Catering Driver to cater aircraft and transport meals, beverages, and equipment to assigned flights. You will deliver excellent airline customer service while adhering to safety procedures and airport rules.

Responsibilities include driving catering trucks, loading carts, unloading after flights, and coordinating with flight crews to meet tight departure schedules. Candidates must speak English, stay organized under pressure, and pass basic tests.

Job description

The Customer Service Airline Catering Driver is responsible for catering aircraft and transporting meals/beverage/equipment to assign flights. They are in charge of providing excellent customer airline service while also following proper safety procedures.

• Delivery and Loading: Drive high-lift catering trucks on airport ramps, align platforms with aircraft doors, and load meal carts or equipment per flight specifications.
• Offloading and Cleanup: Remove used/dirty equipment, trash, and leftover items from the aircraft upon arrival.
• Vehicle and Safety Inspections: Complete pre- and post-trip safety checks on vehicles, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and airport ramp rules.
• Communication: Coordinate with flight crews, dispatchers, and catering teams to meet tight flight departure schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to follow direction, meet tight deadlines, and interact/communicate with vendor airline crew as necessary.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English
• Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities
• Comply with all work rules and regulations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under extreme pressure
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to build strong relationships with airline customer teams such as flight attendants
• Must be able to use fingers/hands to handle equipment
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8+ hours
• Must be able to lift and push up to 50+ lbs
• Able to pass a basic written test & basic driving skills test
