Job summary

Tier1usa in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an airport catering driver to manage end-to-end food service support. Responsibilities include loading equipment, driving to aircraft, loading galleys per guidelines, and offloading dirty equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You must pass a driver training program, handle equipment, and work in outdoor conditions. The role requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with uniform provision and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work in outdoor heat and/or cold environment.
• Must be able to walk/stoop/bend/stand for the entire shift.
• Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to frequent changes.
• Must pass a 10-year FBI background check for airport SIDA/AOA badge.
• Must follow Ramp, AOA, Safety and Security Rules and Regulations.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs with carts.
• Must handle equipment with fingers and hands; interpret menu/galley specs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Must have interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Load equipment onto the truck and drive to the plane.
• Load galleys according to customer guidelines; offload dirty equipment.
• Place dirty equipment and trash in designated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Responsible for all aspects of catering up to and including loading equipment onto the truck, driving the truck to the plane, loading galleys according to customer guidelines, offloading dirty equipment, and placing dirty equipment and trash in designated areas. Other duties assigned by management.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to work in outdoor heat and/or cold environment
• Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for the entire work shift
• Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to frequent changes
• Must be able to pass a 10-year FBI criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge
• Must follow all Ramp, AOA, Safety, and Security Rules and Regulations
• Must have the ability to push up to 70lbs with the use of rolling carts and lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
• Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Must possess interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a professional appearance and attitude
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be able to apply safety standards
• Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment
• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends, and holidays which is subject to change due to shift bidding.
