Job summary

Aquafil Carpet Recycling #1 - Orange is seeking a reliable warehouse/yard Associate to safely drive a company truck with a trailer to collect carpet and padding from retailers and customers. You will assist installers and perform accurate fiber-type sorting using fiber ID guns.

In this role you will operate a baler and a forklift, ensure safe off-loading and loading for shipping, and adhere to English and Spanish safety rules.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting.
• Valid Driver’s License with safe driving history.
• Experience pulling trailers.
• Able to navigate a pickup and trailer combination.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions posted in English and Spanish.

OVERALL GOALSSafely drive company pick-up truck with trailer to collect old carpet from retailers/customers.Efficient off-loading of carpet and pad materials.Accurate and efficient sortation by fiber type.Follow all safety rules for the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssist installers as they drop off carpet and pad for recycling.Accurately use fiber ID guns to sort carpet by fiber type.Operate baler safely and efficiently to create carpet and padding bales.Operate fork-lift to move material around the yard and onto trucks for shipping.Safely drive truck and haul trailers of carpet and pad.ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITYTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Customer service—greet and assist installer customers as they arrive to drop off material.Dependability—keep up with the variety of volume and demands throughout the day.Versatility – able to fill a number of different roles.Safety and security—observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
