Job summary

Aquafil Carpet Recycling is seeking a team member to safely drive a pickup with a trailer, collect carpet material from retailers and customers, and efficiently off-load and bale materials at the Orange, CA facility. The role requires fiber-type sorting, forklift operation, and adherence to safety rules in a dynamic yard environment.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in warehousing, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in English and Spanish safety contexts.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company pickup with trailer to collect carpet from retailers/customers.
• Off-load carpet and padding materials efficiently.

• Operate baler to create carpet and padding bales safely.
• Use forklift to move materials around yard and onto trucks for shipping.

Job Location: Aquafil Carpet Recycling #1 - Orange - Orange, CA 92865

Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly

OVERALL GOALS

• Safely drive company pick-up truck with trailer to collect old carpet from retailers/customers.
• Efficient off-loading of carpet and pad materials.
• Accurate and efficient sortation by fiber type.
• Follow all safety rules for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist installers as they drop off carpet and pad for recycling.
• Accurately use fiber ID guns to sort carpet by fiber type.
• Operate baler safely and efficiently to create carpet and padding bales.
• Operate fork-lift to move material around the yard and onto trucks for shipping.
• Safely drive truck and haul trailers of carpet and pad.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting.
• Working knowledge of light machinery operation.
• Experience pulling trailers.
• Able to navigate a pickup and trailer combination
• Valid Driver’s License with safe driving history.
